Carmela Mendoza
Carmela Mendoza is a senior reporter for Private Equity International based in London. She first joined PEI in Hong Kong in 2015 and covered Asia. A graduate of Ateneo de Manila University, she previously worked for a digital agency in Singapore focused on government websites and publications covering business, trade and industry, transport, and social development.
Daizong Wang, a former managing director at CVC Capital Partners, will join the firm to set up its Beijing office and focus on direct secondaries opportunities in China.
The fund of funds manager, which also invests in secondaries, expects global growth across all markets in the coming months to be lower, says Hamilton Lane chief investment officer Erik Hirsch.
