Clarke will focus on business development and the firm’s investors across the eastern region US. He will report to Geoffrey Mullen, managing director of investor relations and business development, who joined the firm in July.

Previously Clarke was a managing director of business development at Golden Tree Asset Management and a senior vice president at Paulson and Co. He also spent 10 years with PIMCO as head of public plan business development.

His appointment at Landmark comes weeks after the firm hired Emily-Jane Finigan as vice-president to focus on business development and marketing. Finigan was previously head of marketing and communications at The Carlyle Group’s AlpInvest and a senior associate at Coller Capital.

Landmark most recently closed its fifteenth private equity secondaries fund on $3.25 billion. It is also nearing a final close for its seventh real estate secondaries fund, which had collected $670 million as of August. The fund is likely to be oversubscribed and has received more interest than it has room for, a source with knowledge of the situation told Secondaries Investor in November.
